Overview
Flashcard Vault ("the app") is a study app published by ISDS ("we," "us"). It lets you create flashcard decks, add text or image prompts, and study them with a flip-card interface. This policy explains what information the app handles, how Google AdMob advertising works inside it, and the choices you have — including specific rights for users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and applicable US states.
We built the app to work entirely offline for its core purpose: there is no user account, no login, and no server that your flashcards pass through. The only outside party involved is Google, through the AdMob advertising integration described in §4.
What we don't collect
We do not operate any backend for this app, so we — ISDS — do not receive, store, or have access to any of the following:

Uninstalling the app removes this data completely, since it was never anywhere but your device to begin with.
Permissions we request
The app asks for one device permission: access to your photo library, used only when you choose to attach an image to the front of a flashcard. The selected photo is copied into the app's local storage on your device — it is not uploaded to us or to any third party by this app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Flashcard Vault is supported by banner and interstitial ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure these ads, Google and its advertising partners may process:
- Advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA)
- IP address and approximate, coarse location
- App usage signals relevant to ad delivery (e.g. which ad was shown, whether it was viewed or clicked)
- Device information such as OS version and device model
Where you've consented to personalized advertising (see §5), this data may also be used to show ads tailored to your interests. Where you haven't, or aren't asked to, Google still serves non-personalized ads using contextual signals instead.
This processing is governed by Google's own privacy commitments, not ours:
Your consent choices
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to determine what's legally required based on where you are, and to collect your choice before any personalized ad request is made:

You can change your mind at any time: open Settings → About → Ad Privacy Choices in the app to reopen this form and update your consent (visible whenever a revisitable choice applies to your region).
Children's privacy
Flashcard Vault is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and ad requests are configured with a maximum content rating suitable for teens and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the address in §10 and we'll address it.
Retention & deletion
Because your flashcard content never leaves your device, you're always in direct control of it. You can delete everything at once from Settings → Your Data → Clear all data, or remove it entirely by uninstalling the app. Data that Google's AdMob SDK processes on its own systems (§4) is retained and deleted according to Google's policies, not ours.
Your rights
If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export data held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent to personalized advertising at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Because ISDS holds no server-side data about you, these rights are primarily exercised through Google directly for anything related to AdMob, and through the in-app consent controls in §5.
If you're a US resident in a state with a consumer privacy law
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of information for targeted advertising — available through the privacy choices message described in §5.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects or how advertising works, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since the app has no account system, we can't email you directly — please check back periodically, especially after an app update.
